With their stunning 2008 album, 'Flower & Iron' (Greentrax), Malinky underscored their reputation as one of Scotland's most distinctive and accomplished folk bands. Since their tenth anniversary show at Celtic Connections (2009), they have taken their music across the USA and Europe. Malinky's 2010 festival show will include tracks from their fifth recording, due for release this year. With their hallmark song-based repertoire, combining the very best of tradition and modernity, Malinky enter their second decade with the world increasingly at their feet. ' ...one of the folk bands of 2009' (Guardian ).

One of the best folk bands I have seen, just superb musicianship, rhythms and harmonies. One for anyone with a passion for good music. So good I bought 4 CDs afterwards. My favourite event in the Fringe this year!
