100 days to go until Fringe 2019
24 April 2019
Good news, calendar fans: as of today there are only 100 days until the start of the 2019 Edinburgh Festival Fringe. If you’re anything like us, you’re now drumming your fingers and jiggling your knees in giddy excitement (or is it impatience?), so we’ve come up with a few ways to keep yourself occupied in the meantime.
Buy some advance tickets
Our full programme launch isn’t until Wednesday 05 June, but there are a whole bunch of shows available already – over 1,700 to choose from. If you want to give yourself a head start (and spread the cost of your Fringe over the coming months), go ahead and check them out.
Start prepping your Fringe plans today
Even if you don’t want to secure your tickets today, you can still start getting your preliminary plans in order. Sign into your account (or create a new one) and you can start compiling a wishlist of your favourite shows immediately.
Sign up for 2for1 shows as a Fringe Friend
Fringe Friends get access to loads of perks, including 2for1 tickets on a choice of thousands of shows, an exclusive Box Office and booking line, and discounts on goodies at the Fringe Shop. Still got some time on your hands?
Let’s get this straight – you’ve booked some shows, created a wishlist and signed up for Fringe Friends membership, and you still can’t stop fidgeting with nervous anticipation? Well, in 100 days you could always…
- walk from Edinburgh to Poland and back
- watch all of Shakespeare’s plays, back to back, around 20 times
- travel to the moon 33 times
- read ‘War and Peace’ 51 times
- watch the complete ‘Lord of the Rings’ extended edition 211 times (leaving aside the Hobbit movies, of course)
