Seven more shows have received Scotsman Fringe First Awards bringing the final total to 18.
The awards were set up 39 years ago to encourage new writing to come to the Fringe. This year more than 500 shows were eligible for the awards which took place every week of the Fringe.
The prizes were presented at the Scotsman Fringe Awards ceremony at Assembly George Square
The winners were Chris Goode & Company and the Unicorn Theatre’s Monkey Bars (Traverse Theatre), Silva Gallerano & Cristian Ceresoli’s The Shit/La Merda (Summerhall), Jenna Watt’s Flaneurs (Summerhall), Fishamble’s The Wheelchair On My Face (Pleasance Courtyard), Nutshell’s Thread (Assembly St Mark’s), Song of the Goat Theatre’s Songs of Lear (Summerhall) and Sell a Door and Boxed Cat’sRainbow by Emily Jenkins (Zoo Southside).
At the ceremony in Assembly George Square The Spirit of the Fringe award handed to Theatre Uncut at the Traverse.
