The Fringe Society has won an Outstanding Attitude Award by Attitude is Everything –  celebrating achievement and innovation in live event accessibility for disabled audiences.

We were delighted to be awarded the Big Ambition Award for the Society’s overall efforts to make the Fringe as inclusive as possible.

Access improvements which were celebrated with this award include:

  • The introduction of online booking for PA tickets available through the Access tickets service.
  • Use of the Neatebox Welcome app to enable attendees to notify Fringe staff in advance of their time of arrival,
  • Sensory backpacks for adults and children, and the production of a visual social story for autistic people.
  • Developments and improvements to accessibility at Street Events.
