Fringe teams up with Caledonian Brewery in a new three-year sponsorship

The Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society is once again teaming up with Edinburgh’s Caledonian Brewery in a new three-year sponsorship deal that will help thousands of visitors navigate their way across Edinburgh during the annual Festival Fringe.
The extension will see Caledonian Brewery continuing their sponsorship of the venue boards that appear outside every Fringe venue, the combined Edinburgh Festivals official map and the Fringe map that appears in the official Fringe Programme as well as supporting the Friends of the Fringe membership scheme.
Announcing the renewed partnership, Chief Executive of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society, Shona McCarthy said:
“It is with great pleasure that the Fringe Society can announce that we will continue to develop our relationship with Caledonian Brewery over the next three years. This year, Caledonian Brewery venue boards will once again be on display at Fringe venues right across Edinburgh, helping audiences find their way around the Festival Fringe. We are delighted that this major sponsor is an Edinburgh-based company, and we look forward to working with them over the next three years.”

The Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society, the charity that underpins the Edinburgh Festival Fringe was established in 1958, eleven years after the birth of the Fringe when the first performers turned up uninvited to perform at the Edinburgh International Festival. The Fringe is an open access festival – any artist or company can take part regardless of their experience or success and the festival is not programmed or run by an artistic director or any selection body. The Fringe Box Office opens on Wednesday 08 June at 10.00.
Caledonian Brewery was established in Edinburgh in 1869, at a time when there were around 40 breweries throughout the city centre.
The iconic establishment is the only brewery in the UK still using direct-fired copper pans.
