The Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society’s Board of Directors provide year-round governance and guidance to the Fringe Society, ensuring that our core objectives of supporting all who take part, helping audiences navigate the Fringe and promoting this amazing festival all over the world, are delivered effectively. The Board is elected by members of the Fringe Society and is legally responsible for ensuring that the Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society fulfils its charitable objectives in line with its constitution.

Nominations are now open to stand for election to the Board of Directors and help shape the future of this phenomenal festival. In order to stand for election to the Board you need to be a member of the Fringe Society and you require two fellow members of the Society to nominate and second you. Under the constitution, there are three categories in which you can stand for election to the Board of Directors:

  • Participants – anyone involved in bringing a show to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe which is registered in the 2017 Edinburgh Festival Fringe Programme.
  • Venues – anyone representing any venue registered in the 2017 Edinburgh Festival Fringe Programme.
  • Open – anyone interested in standing.

To support our diversity and accessibility policies, the Fringe Society is encouraging nominations for candidates from disabled and Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) candidates.

The Edinburgh Festival Fringe Society is a membership organisation and is open to all. In order to vote in the election to the Board of Directors, you must be a member of the Fringe Society.
