The second round of Scotsman Fringe Firsts have been awarded to seven companies premiering new writing at the Festival Fringe. This is the 41st year of the awards which are the longest-running theatre prizes at the festival.

This year’s second round winners are Sanitise (Underbelly), The Carousel (Traverse Theatre), Pioneer (Zoo Southside), The Day Sam Died (New Town Theatre), The Object Lesson (Summerhall), The Initiate (Summerhall @ Roundabout) and Lippy (Traverse Theatre).

One final round of Fringe First Awards will be announced before the end of the festival.
