Our Artist Development team are here to help you in your professional ambitions at the Fringe by providing a range of services and resources.
If you are planning your Fringe journey and wish to discuss your goals and objectives in order to make the most of the Artist Development services, please get in touch with us at [email protected] so that we can advise and support you in the best way possible.
In 2021 the Fringe Society will host a programme of online events on the Fringe Connect platform, launching in July 2021.
The Fringe Connect programme of events provides artists and industry with the opportunity to expand their skills and perspectives and connect with new people from all over the world.
There are a range of opportunities available outside of the Fringe from professional networks and development organisations.
If you would like to list an opportunity, please get in touch with [email protected].
As part of our Service Directory we list rehearsal spaces both in Edinburgh and across the UK. The Fringe Society do not manage any of the spaces listed – the individual rehearsal rooms contained are managed by an independent venue manager.
If you have a rehearsal room which you would like to be added to this list, or if you feel there is a room listed in the document that shouldn’t be, please get in touch with us on [email protected].
Support in person
A small number of face-to-face support surgeries with Fringe Society staff will be available at the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce (40 George Street, Edinburgh, EH2 2LE) on Friday 13, Friday 20 and Friday 27 August from 12:00 – 14:00. Booking is not necessary but you may need to queue – social distancing will be in place and face masks are essential. For more information email [email protected]
Support will also be offered by Equity at these surgeries. Equity is a union of more than 47,000 performers and creative practitioners, united in the fight for fair terms and conditions in the workplace. We are actors, singers, dancers, designers, directors, stage managers, puppeteers, comedians, voice artists and variety and circus performers. Our staff will be onsite throughout the Edinburgh Festival Fringe to provide in-person support to members on issues including contracts, health and safety, and pay. If you are not a member, please come and see us and learn more about the benefits of joining Equity.
