Comedy Queers / Free Festival

Venue: Laughing Horse @ The Counting House, 38 West Nicolson Street, EH8 9DD
Event dates and times: 00:45. 02-26 August(5-10 minute slots)

Comedy Queers is a late night Edinburgh showcase of LGBTQIA+ comedians from across the fringe. Presented by rising star Sian Davies.
Comedy Queers offers the audience the opportunity to see a variety of acts who would not usually be featured on the same bill. Queer comics, like female comics and BAME comics, are often used as “others” on standard line-ups. This means it is unusual to have more than one queer act on the same bill. Comedy Queers invites performers who are often marginalised to join together and share the stage. Oh, and it’s a big queer party. Every. Single. Night.

With queer comedians, variety performers and drag acts, as well as some special guests this party is set to go off! Alcohol, nudity, rainbow flags, fancy dress, glitter and neurotic meltdowns are all standard fare at one of the most diverse shows in town. When you’ve seen one too many straight/cis comedians at the fringe, spice things up at the Queer Comedy showcase. The daily changing roster of comedians is one of the most diverse line ups at the fringe. Here’s your invite to party in style with the true Kings, Queens and non-binary Royal titles of comedy. Comedy Queers: How Refreshing!
