Transforming one of Edinburgh's oldest libraries into a stunning Fringe venue, Edinburgh Central Library will become a magnificent new space for live music this year. A partnership with Edinburgh-based Tinderbox Collective, the venue is a celebration of a new initiative, getting musical instruments into public libraries across Scotland.

Bringing together rappers, singers, brass, strings, woodwind and a fully amplified thundering backline, Tinderbox’s 20-piece orchestra returns to Edinburgh Central Library for their Live in Libraries album recording, featuring new compositions and a cast of multi-genre collaborators. This show is the continuation of a tour around the UK and Ireland to further the We Make Music Instrument Libraries campaign – an initiative to get musical instruments into public libraries so people can borrow them for free!
