The Biscuit Factory was built in 1947 by Crawfords Biscuits and the warehouse which was home to them for 20 years still sits proudly between Anderson Place and Bonnington Road Lane, along with our sister building the Soap Works - an ex soap and chemical factory from the early 1900s. It is now home to 32 creative businesses who together make a significant contribution to the culture in Leith.

CJ The X, an artist and philosopher from Toronto, made their name through video essays on YouTube, weaving together academic philosophy and pop culture in their signature chaotic style. Their comedy-philosophy live lectures are highly researched deep dives into a wide array of subjects, from figure skating controversies, to rap beefs, disputes in Christian theology, internet meme lore and the financial records of Silicon Valley. Every lecture is entirely different from the rest. 7 shows, 7 unique performances. Each is distinct, but all work together to build a coherent set of ideas.
