Journey back to New York City, 1911 with a Russian immigrant family who are trying to achieve the American dream. Ida, determined to help her brothers earn money, says she's getting a job – all the young girls are doing it! Her brothers resist her, saying it's too dangerous. But Ida won't be deterred and gets a job at the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory. Just when Ida and her family begin to feel they are living the dream, an unexpected tragedy changes their lives forever!
