Inspired by the ancient art of Dunhuang, combining hip hop dance, this dance work presents a journey in and out of fragmented dreams and realities, seeking the hidden landscapes of one's own self-conscious within the modern context. An encounter of the goddesses came alive from the Dunhuang mural. The costume and visual materials designed by artist, Lu Wang, create a sense of magnificent sense of weaving movement and imagery throughout the piece, we seek to bridge the ancient spirit that once bloomed in Dunhuang with the present, invoking ones longing to self-identify.
