Spring Dance Collective (UK/China)
There aren’t as many spectators in life as you think. This powerful interdisciplinary performance, influenced by the dance-theatre style of Pina Bausch, integrates physical expression and symbolic installations to challenge perceptions of social anxiety. Are we really being watched? Or is it all in our heads? This fear can stem from a distorted sense of self, but as Hey Stop!!! shows, there is often a significant gap between perception and reality. Contrasting exaggerated fears with actual social interactions, the piece breaks this misconception and ultimately challenges the fear of “being watched”. A profound reflection on modern social psychology.
