The Invisible Spirit is award-winning journalist Kenneth Roy's searing yet witty dramatisation of Scotland – its people, places and politics – from 1945 to 1975. We open on VE night in Glasgow’s George Square, celebrating the end of one of the darkest chapters in British history. But the conclusion of WW2 marks the beginning of a 30-year hangover for Scotland during which its people fight off poverty and disease in tenement slums, watch scandal engulf the powers that be and live in fear of serial killers. Starring Chris Alexander, Fergus John McCann and Elaine Stirrat.
