God created mankind in seven days, but twelve children drifting at sea take the same seven to become murderers. Inspired by Géricault’s painting and Georg Kaiser’s play The Raft of the Medusa, this contemporary re-telling unfolds through image-based vignettes – a chimpanzee with painted nails, an ignored petition, a missing doll. Who are the figures on the raft? When we look again, do we see ourselves reflected? Alienation doesn’t knock – it drifts in. And by the time we feel the tide, we are already far from the shore. Performed in Mandarin.
