Lowri Mathias
Set in the north-west of England, Leglock follows amateur cage fighter James, a teenager who’s just won the biggest fight of his career and is looking forward to finally going pro. As the adrenaline starts to fade and he puts back on his street clothes, James begins to question the career path he’s on, and how much choice he really had in the matter. Leglock is a one-man show about cage fighting, working class masculinity, and what it means to be young and fighting to make something of yourself in today’s post-austerity landscape.
