Na-Keisha Pebody, Mya Onwugbonu, Leicester Curve and Pleasance
London’s calling, but is Chardaye ready? LEI – LDN follows Chardaye, a mixed-race 17-year-old with a sharp tongue and a lot to say. Uprooted from Leicester to South London, she’s thrown into a world of aunties, accents and unspoken rules. But where’s the rulebook on belonging? A raw, funny and electric blend of spoken word, movement and comedy, this one-woman show dives deep into identity, race and self-discovery. If you’ve ever felt caught between two worlds, this play is for you. Co-produced by Mya Onwugbonu and Na-keisha Pebody. Sound designer: Mya Onwugbonu. Lighting designer: Olivier Gastinel.
