Paul Campbell: The Lost Tapes of Somerfield

13:00United Kingdom - England
Performer / Performance company

Paul Campbell

In possibly the first show of the dead supermarket comedy genre, Paul looks at how, as a socially isolated sixth former, he found solace in the aisles of 00s supermarket Somerfield. Paul spent up to two hours a day relaxing in his beloved Stretford branch but when the store closed, Paul expererienced the five stages of Supermarket Grief. The show features original cassette recordings from 2007 of Paul discussing his heartache. 'Paul Campbell is the kind of genius the fringe needs. A true original, hilarious and accessibly odd' (Joe Kent Walters).
