Orchestra of the Canongait, conducted by Robert Dick
Internationally acclaimed concert pianist Geoffrey Duce will return to the Orchestra of the Canongait to perform Mozart's dramatic Concerto No.24 in C minor. Following an outstanding review of their performance of Bruckner’s Ninth Symphony in which the orchestra were favourably compared to the Vienna Philharmonic, the Canongait’s founding director Robert Dick will lead the orchestra through the same composer's magisterial Fifth Symphony; one of the most sophisticated works in the entire symphonic canon. 'They played as though possessed in the Scherzo... the climaxes were shattering' (Ken Ward, BachTrack.com).
