For decades the artist Ken Currie has produced some of the most ominous images in the contemporary canon. His vision scopes the apocalyptic nature of our unstable world and the dire prospect of personal mortality. His renowned painting Three Oncologists remains a motif seared into the consciousness of the Scottish nation.
