Sped Kid is an award-winning, high-energy, genre-defying one-man show that blends comedy, music and storytelling in a raw and heartfelt performance. It tells the powerful true story of Adam Linn, a twelve-year-old boy going blind in 1984 Boston, a city divided by long-simmering racism, but alive with new music and breakdancing. In this gripping, autobiographical journey, Adam’s failing vision forces him to leave an all-white Catholic school and board a special education short bus to an inner-city public school, where he and his new friends find strength, humour and triumph through their shared love of music and dance.
