One of the most famous trials in the afterlife is coming to an end. Clytemnestra, Queen of Mycenae, offers her final defence on why she had to kill Agamemnon. The story of the dead daughter is only a start: there is more to be told. This is the tragedy nobody cared about – her story. She was a woman who killed her husband, an adulteress and evil. But she was also an enraged mother, a woman who suffered and a queen. She completed her revenge. But the question is, was the vengeance actually hers?
