Old'n'Dead Productions, Edinburgh Rep Company / PBH's Free Fringe
'Up the close and doon the stair, but and ben wi' Burke and Hare. Burke's the butcher, Hare's the thief and Knox the boy who buys the beef.' It's 1828 Edinburgh, and we are experiencing a biological boom within medical science. Problem is finding bodies to dissect really can be murder. Join us for a surprisingly accurate retelling of the story of Edinburgh's most famous serial killers and the man they supplied the bodies to. Inspired by the works of Horrible Histories (but for adults) using song, parody and real historical fact.
