Alastair Savage and Friends
Leading Scots fiddle exponent, Alastair Savage returns to the beautiful setting of the Canongate Kirk with his unique celebration of the cherished Scots fiddle tradition. Alongside him a stellar cast of the country's finest musicians, including Euan Drysdale (guitar/piano), Iain Crawford (double bass), Bronte Hudnott (flute, whistle) and Chris Gibb (border pipes). Toe-tapping strathspeys and reels combine with soulful laments, ancient and modern, for a breathtaking journey of sound. An unmissable experience of Scottish culture. 'A must for aficionados' (Herald). 'Panache, grace and affection' (Scotsman). 'Master of the instrument' (Threeweeks).
