Alastair Savage and Friends
Leading fiddle exponent Alastair Savage returns to the magnificent Canongate Kirk with his heartfelt celebration of the cherished Scots fiddle tradition. Accompanying him, a stellar cast of Scotland's finest musicians, featuring long-time collaborators Euan Drysdale (guitar/piano) and Iain Crawford (double bass), with special guests including acclaimed BBC Proms in the Park solo piper Chris Gibb alongside woodwind supremo Linda Spears (flute/piccolo/whistle). An undoubted festival highlight offering listeners a unique experience of Scottish culture, both ancient and modern. 'Panache, grace and affection' (Scotsman). 'A must for aficionados' (Herald).
