Sola Larry Amure (UK/Nigeria)

‘Many times I wanted to step off the train of life, but faith and hard work kept me tethered to my seat.’ Cambridge-educated eye-surgeon Sola Amure returns to the fringe with an interactive presentation of his inspirational memoir Beyond the Horizon Might Be Better. The book tells the story of his life, from an abusive childhood divided between Nigeria and England to confronting prejudice from both NHS staff and patients as a medical professional. His presentation is followed by a Q&A.
