Leitheatre
Ten years after the 1984 miner's strike, a community faces the closure of its pit and the loss of its brass band. Set in Fife, and with live music from Lochgelly Band, Leitheatre's production tells the moving and often funny story of a community coming together to fight back. Based on the iconic 1996 film, this play shows the value of solidarity and friendship and the power of music, which is as relevant today as it was then.
