Kate Hu
Chinese AF is Kate Hu’s debut solo at the Edinburgh Fringe: fast, sharp, and proudly unfiltered. Born and raised in China, Kate is caught between cultures and constantly asked to “explain herself” – by her parents, society and especially strangers online. She covers Chinese upbringing, culture shock, career choices that worry your mother, trolls with too much free time and what happens when you date outside the algorithm, and everyone has an opinion anyway. She’s the first full-time comedian in her very Chinese AF family... which is why her parents still tell people she works in finance.
