Colin Steele Quintet
An avid fan of Davis, Colin Steele is the master when it comes to paying homage to musical legends. With thrilling empathy, phenomenal solos and driving musical energy, Steele's trumpet fronts a quintet covering classic arrangements of Miles Davis’ seminal albums of the 50s and 60s, especially Milestones and Kind of Blue. Featuring Konrad Wiszniewski (saxophone), Dave Milligan (piano), Kenny Ellis (bass) and Alyn Cosker/Jim Drummond (drums). 'The most utterly sublime jazz I’ve heard in a long time… A scintillating, pulsating 90 minutes of superlative playing from one of Scotland’s finest jazz musicians' (FringeReview.co.uk).
