Critical theory is transformed into cabaret glamour by Mandy Harris Williams, a multimedia artist and cultural critic whose work operates across performance, writing, and digital media. Oration, original music, dance and projected video collide in a show about attention, survival and the cost of being politically coherent in public. Part lecture, part pop assemblage and wholly engrossing, scholarship becomes spectacle and spectacle becomes survival as Critique Cabaret examines what it means to think, feel and perform in a world where attention has become both currency and trap. Originally commissioned by Performance Space New York.
