Mandy Harris Williams with Family Affairs Studio
Critical theory is transformed into a cabaret spectacle by Mandy Harris Williams, a multimedia artist and cultural critic whose work operates across performance, writing and digital media. Live writing, original music and projected video collide in a show about attention, survival, and the cost of being politically coherent in public. Part lecture, part pop assemblage and wholly a performance, scholarship becomes spectacle and spectacle becomes survival as Critique Cabaret examines what it means to think, feel and perform in a world where attention has become both currency and trap. Originally commissioned by Performance Space New York.
