Daphne, the muse of Apollo, Ovid, Lorenzo Bernini ... of us. As Bernini begins to craft his tribute to Ovid’s Metamorphoses, he becomes enchanted by one of his subjects. He places himself within the chase as his desire for Daphne takes over. But what does Daphne desire? Does she want to be pursued? Does she want to be silenced? The play offers an alternative outcome to the myth. Watch as she steps out of the narrative that silenced her, and reclaims her own story.
