Kiren Virdee
Does anyone else smell curry? It was said by a friend. A joke. I said nothing. Worse. I laughed. Why did I laugh? Meet Kiren. British. Punjabi? Sikh? In that order? And more? Through spoken word, movement, media, verbatim and lip sync, this show explores the British South Asian experience in all its confusing complexity. How do we see ourselves? How do others see us? Are we not more than curry?! Join us for what audiences have described as a ‘raw’, ‘relevant’ ‘reclamation of pain’ which ‘deserves a wider audience and a bright future’.
