The Edinburgh Makars
Two plays for the price of one – in Fool’s Errand by Georgia Smith, an apparently simple burglary takes a spectacular turn when the thief discovers the homeowner is actually a witch. Suddenly, making off with the loot becomes far trickier, especially with a sharp-tongued talking cat and a mischievous, magical house standing in his way. Still Life is Noël Coward's story of two married strangers living in pre-World War II England, whose chance meeting at a railway station leads to a brief yet intense emotional affair disrupting their otherwise conventional lives. It became the film Brief Encounter.
