Amy Brown Carver / Free Festival
Eat Pray Cult is a stand-up comedy about getting divorced and joining a cult. Well, almost a cult. It’s a seasonal, off-grid, techo-futurist protopia and decentralized intentional community. If it were a cult, my parents would know what to tell their friends. The show is about what makes people stay and why they leave, what society gets right, and how your own personal apocalypse is whenever you want it to be. It’s about hitting rock bottom and pitching a tent. And of course, it’s about the friends you meet along the way.
