Edinburgh Renaissance Band
Edinburgh Renaissance Band’s ever-popular Viol Rackett Show presents a varied selection of instrumental and vocal music from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance. The award-winning troupe of eleven musicians show off a large range of period instruments, including shawms, cornetti, sackbuts, nakers, viols, fiddles, crumhorns, gemshorns, bells, bagpipes, racketts and a serpent. This delightful show, fronted by musical director Murray Campbell, is suitable for all ages, and members of the audience are invited to take a closer look at the instruments at the end of the concert. Children free, but ticketed.
