Budd Boetticher
Screening as part of Budd Boetticher: The Ranown Cycle. EIFF presents six compact and beautiful films directed by Budd Boetticher, which present the apotheosis of the Western genre and all-star classic Hollywood golden age movie icon Randolph Scott. Presented in collaboration with Edinburgh Film Guild and introduced by Ehsan Khoshbakht from Il Cinema Ritrovato. Comanche Station finds Jefferson (Scott) locked into a battle of wills and fists with a corrupt gang intent on abducting the young woman he has recently rescued in exchange for a large bounty.
