Félix de Givry
When a bullied young schoolboy goes into hiding from his classmates after a failed suicide attempt, a lonely girl from his class discovers him and a delicate, respectful relationship begins to form, opening their worlds up in myriad ways. Beautifully shot with painterly compositions, a tactile, textured aesthetic and powered by introspective narration and outstanding performances from its two young leads, Felix de Givry’s debut is dreamy, soulful and stirring cinema rooted in adolescent pain and confusion. A subtle, sensitive and beautifully realised story of compassion and acceptance fresh from its World Premiere in Cannes Critics Week.
