Rodreguez King-Dorset
Meet the ageing Jake ‘Mental’ Hughes, a psychiatric patient who believes he is the real Muhammad Ali. His voice shows anger, rage and sometimes indifference as he introduces us to his interpretation of a mental health system that has subjected him to 25 years of the painful effects of anti-psychotic drug Zuclopenthixol. In the face of government bungling and in the absence of essential support he takes on the world over his right to live life without ‘the Zuc or the needle’!
