Jewish Plot Company
Jewish Plot is a shape-shifting work of meta-theatre by Torrey Townsend. What begins as a witty reconstruction of a fictional Victorian melodrama about antisemitism fractures in real time, erupting into a searing contemporary reckoning with Jewish identity, politics and inheritance. Fierce, funny and unflinching, the play asks what it means to create – and to belong – amid historical trauma and present-day violence. Following a sold-out New York premiere and recognition by Vulture as one of 2025’s Top 10 Plays in New York City, Jewish Plot is daring, urgent theatre at its most alive.
