A gay man, a total virgin, a soldier and Buddha walk into a bar. Just Blokes, new Scottish writing, explores male relationships today through sharp dialogue and uncomfortable honesty, challenging masculinity, vulnerability and the quiet pressures men place on themselves and each other. When silence is treated as strength and humour as the universal bandage, what remains unspoken? The piece asks how men can better advocate for themselves and for one another, questioning stoicism as survival, laughter as the best medicine and the Irish goodbye as the only way to leave a party.
