Senora Directora LLC
Manic is a one-woman comedy cabaret written, directed and performed by Roxana Baldovin. A successful music video director, she fuses cinematic pre-recorded sketches with live performance, blurring theatre and film into an electric experience. A millennial fever dream of pop culture, nostalgia and Hollywood, unfolding within a surreal game show of fame. Through 14 shapeshifting characters – from burlesque mermaid to a drag embodiment of insecurities – her inner voices and inner child take centre stage. Campy, cerebral and inspiring, Manic explores ambition, identity and the cost of being seen, asking: which voices in our heads deserve the microphone?
