Marianne Beate Kielland mezzo-soprano, Ben-San Lau piano
Marianne Beate Kielland (mezzo-soprano) stars in this concert of Scots, French and English airs in Middle Scots, English and French lyrics by a unique collection of composers which celebrates the life of Mary, Queen of Scots (1542-1587). A concert where these words perfectly describe the time and destiny of the eighth wonder of the world: the incomparable Queen of Scots. The concert, which celebrates the Queen of Three Kingdom's imminent 440th anniversary, also gives a nod to this year's 400th anniversary of the composer John Dowland (1563-1626).
