Yiee Dance Collective (UK/China)
A compelling double-bill of contemporary dance exploring identity, memory and transformation through movement. White Silence, choreographed by Ning Qiang and performed by Siqi Chen, is inspired by the changing qualities of snow, unfolding through breath, shifting weight and intricate movement. Costume design by Mega Geng extends the choreography through drifting layers of fabric. Mirror State explores how movement reveals what words cannot. Drawing on theatre and traditional dance, it lingers in moments of hesitation, recognition and change, where the body speaks with quiet honesty.
