Paddy Seery / Free Festival
A riotous deep dive into the contradictions of Irish identity, told through the lens of family, booze, sex and a misguided stint in the army. From the generational curse of alcoholism to the uniquely Irish knack for being both sexually repressed and wildly promiscuous, no taboo is safe. Just when it can’t get more absurd, along comes the paradox of a peace-loving hippy in the Irish Army. With razor-sharp wit and heartfelt chaos, Hereditary explores the things we inherit, the battles we fight (literal and metaphorical), and the joy of embracing contradictions that shape who we are.
