Palestine Comedy Club / The Stand Comedy Club
Featuring Alaa Shehada (Jenin), Diana Sweity (Hebron), Hanna Shammas (Haifa), Sami Abu-Wardeh (London). PalCom is a Palestinian-UK collective developing comedy unique to the Palestinian experience. The club is a platform for Palestinian artists to create comedy from the everyday realities of their lives and to share their stories in Palestine and beyond. Debuting at the Fringe, Diana, Hanna and Alaa are remarkable performers, each bringing a distinct and unexpected perspective on living and laughing under occupation. 'Laughter in extreme pain, and a turning point towards a different comedy in Palestine' (The Cultural Stage). PalestineComedyClub.com
