LuminaVerse Cultural Innovations Beijing Zhixin LeKong Cultural Communication (China)
This whimsical allegorical fairytale from China is about the world of food. It follows a peanut’s fantastical journey to avoid its destiny of being eaten, and so reflects the universal human experience of struggling against fate. Through its adventures in the Delicious Metropolis (the restaurant kitchen), the Food Refugee Camp (the leftover bowl), and the Flavourless Hell (the garbage can), the peanut meets a colourful cast of condiments! Along the way, it comes to realise the truth: although death is unavoidable, it can be faced in a way that brings inner peace. Performed in Chinese with English surtitles.
