Perth Youth Orchestra

Perth Youth Orchestra was founded in 1962 and has showcased generations of talented young musicians. It offers members valuable orchestral experience through concerts, tours, and collaborations, fostering musical excellence and passion in Perth and beyond. Tonight's programme includes: Monti's Czardas for violin (soloist Finlay Rutherford), Haydn's Trumpet Concerto 2nd movement (soloist Joe Rogers), Finlandia (Sibelius), Sentimental Sarabande from Simple Symphony for String Orchestra 3rd movement (Britten), and Brahms' Symphony No 1 4th movement. We finish with a selection of contemporary pieces, including Hoedown, A Touch of Jazz, Into the Storm, Opening Night and Loch Lomond.
