Alasdair Cameron
Dvorak's Suite was written shortly after the enormous success of his New World symphony, which was first performed in 1893. His solo piano music is not well known, consisting mainly of small scale pieces, like the Humouresques, and Poetic Tone Pictures. With its many moods, the Suite has much variety and richness.
