The opposite of war isn’t peace – it’s creation. Jonathan Larson’s rock musical Rent follows 525,600 minutes in the lives of young artists in 1990s New York. Amid poverty, eviction, addiction and the AIDS crisis, a community fights to keep creating. Rent chooses love, art and defiance over despair. Featuring electrifying anthems like Seasons of Love, La Vie Bohème and Take Me or Leave Me, Rent is equal parts heart-breaking and life-affirming: a celebration of living in the face of uncertainty. For 65 years, EUSOG has provided students with performance and production opportunities, delivering five-star sell-out shows.
