Maryam Garad and Pleasance
After serving three years in prison, Aisha sets out on a journey of self-healing, determined to cure her shoplifting addiction and leave old habits behind. But everything changes when she meets V, and her admiration quickly turns into obsession. If Aisha truly wants a fresh start, she'll need a new identity, status and security. This time, she's stealing a life. A poignant one-woman play, direct from Soho Writers' Lab, exploring rehabilitation, wealth disparity and how jealousy festers in the absence of love. Winner of the Tony Craze Award 2023 and the Pleasance's Charlie Hartill Global Majority Fund 2026.
